Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how The New Standard ("TNS", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you take part in Project77 (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described below. TNS is the controller of this data.

1. Information We Collect

Everything we hold is what you type or upload yourself:

  • Account: name, email address and a password (stored hashed, never in plain text), or your Google account if you sign in with Google.
  • Phone number, if you add one for text reminders, and whether you agreed to be called or messaged by the team.
  • Your application: the short questions asked before you are let in (what you do, your business stage, your biggest goal and challenge, why you want to join).
  • Profile: photo, city, what you do, country, Instagram handle, time zone and reminder time.
  • Your setup: commitments, vision, standards, protocol and habits.
  • Your season: daily check-ins, day starts, weekly reviews, streak and scores, and the photos and notes you add to a check-in.
  • What you post: wins on the Win Wall, reactions, messages to the team, and messages and photos in your squad chat.

We also keep the usual technical records needed to run a website: your IP address, browser type and the pages you open. We do not run advertising or tracking.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To run the 77 days: your check-ins, scores, streak, levels and the leaderboard.
  • To remind you, by text message or notification, at the time you chose.
  • So the team can read your check-ins and reviews and coach you where it helps.
  • To tell you about THE NEW STANDARD membership if you said you are interested.
  • To keep the Service working and to find and fix problems and abuse.

3. Who Sees What

We do not sell your personal information. Inside the Service, visibility is as follows:

  • Everyone in your season: your name, photo, city, what you do, country flag, level, streak and discipline score on the leaderboard, and the wins you post once the team approves them.
  • Your squad only: the photos and notes you add to your check-ins, and the squad chat. The host and the team cannot read squad chats.
  • The team: everything you fill in, your check-ins and reviews, and the messages you send to the team. Not your squad chat.
  • Nobody outside the Service, unless you share your own Story image or invite link yourself.

We share data with providers who help us run the Service (hosting, Google for sign-in, a text message provider for codes and reminders, Slack for notifying the team) under confidentiality obligations, and when the law requires it.

4. Data Retention

We keep your data for the length of the season and up to twelve months after it ends, so you can look back and so we can invite you to what comes next. You can delete it sooner, at any time, see section 6.

5. Data Security

Connections are encrypted (TLS), passwords are hashed, and photos are stored under addresses that cannot be guessed. No method of storage is completely secure, so put nothing in a check-in photo you would not want seen by your squad.

6. Your Rights

You can see and change your profile and setup inside the Service. You can delete your account and everything attached to it with one tap: open the menu under your name and choose Delete my account. It is immediate and cannot be undone. Under the GDPR you also have the right to access, correct, export or restrict your data, and to complain to the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). Write to us at the address below for any of these.

7. Cookies

The Service uses one cookie, to keep you signed in. No analytics or advertising cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is for people of 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe we have, contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. We will tell you about material changes in the Service or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
